“Who is this guy…”
I am a commercial airline pilot who flies as Captain on the Boeing 767 for United Parcel Services of America (UPS). I’ve been flying for UPS for over fifteen years since serving my country, dodging bullets and bombs in the first Gulf War and Somalia. Due to my gracious appointment by Congressman John McCain, I graduated from the U. S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. I left school to fly supersonics jets in Air Force Pilot Training, where I went on to finish as the top graduate.
I was born in the tiny, country town of Port Author, Texas the eldest of three siblings. I fell in love with being outdoors, fishing, eating seafood, and working in my grandfather’s automotive repair shop. It was my grandfather that instilled in me a no non-sense work ethic. Phoenix, Arizona was also a place of many fond memories in my upbringing. With two hard working parents, the message was reinforced and driven home that a real man should always work and provide for his family.
However, I am by no means one-dimensional when it comes to work. In addition to being a pilot, a commercial real estate developer, philanthropist, and motivational speaker, I found time to write a best selling book for my daughters called, “Women Have All The Power… Too Bad They Don’t Know It”.
When not working, my favorite pass times are snow boarding, playing tennis, golf, talking trash with the fellas, and beating my wife and daughters in board games. Lisa and I also enjoy traveling to new and interesting places. I am a God fearing man who is a loving husband, father of three, and a loyal son.
